Dover Cop Who Had 100s Of Child Porn Files Learns Fate: Prosecutor

A 37-year-old former Dover police officer was sentenced to four years in prison after previously pleading guilty to distributing child pornography, authorities announced, Friday, Oct. 24.

Anthony Kelly, a Ledgewood resident, has been terminated, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll and Chief of Detectives Robert McNally said. 

An investigation into Kelly began after law enforcement received six CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that he was distributing child pornography on a Kik account, authorities said.

Kelly distributed more than 100 items of child sexual abuse material on the account between July 2024 and October 2024, authorities said.
