MUNSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - Farley’s Country Store reopens this Saturday almost one year after a crash forced them to close.

In October 2024, a Geauga County Sheriff’s deputy ran a red light, hit a truck and then slammed into the store.

The local mom-and-pop shop was severely damaged by the crash.

The Geauga County Sheriff deputy responsible for the crash was identified as Nicholas Bruckman, 29, of Chardon, according to the highway patrol.

Before the crash, the couple lived in the upstairs of the store. Since the damage was so great, the American Red Cross was called shortly after the crash.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers cited Bruckman with a red light violation.
