LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Police will provide an update on Friday at 9:30 a.m. on an apparent homicide that happened in northeast Lincoln.
Lincoln Police began investigating after a woman was found dead inside her home Thursday morning.
Family members of a woman living at a multiplex on Deweese Drive north of 56th and Holdrege streets called 911 at 8 a.m. They reported they had not seen their loved one in a couple of days and became suspicious.
Several officers responded to the home minutes later and found the woman and a man, both in their 40s, inside.
Assistant Chief Jason Stille said the woman had obvious injuries to her neck and was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was taken into custody without incident and transported to the hospital to be evaluated after experiencing a medic
