LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Police identified the woman found dead inside her home in northeast Lincoln Thursday morning as 43-year-old Tracy Henman.
Assistant Chief Jason Stille provided additional details surrounding the ongoing homicide investigation on Friday.
Family members of Henman, who lived at a multiplex on Deweese Drive north of 56th and Holdrege streets, called 911 at 8 a.m. They reported they had not seen her in a couple of days and became suspicious.
Several officers responded to the home minutes later and found Henman and a man inside.
Stille said Henman had obvious injuries to her neck and was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, a 40-year-old Lincoln man known to Henman, was taken into custody. He was taken to the hospital where he remains with injuries to his face
