Mangaluru, Oct 24: Surathkal police have arrested four individuals, including three alleged attackers and a man who provided them shelter, in connection with a shocking knife attack near the Kanad area on Thursday night.

The arrests came a day after two young men, Hasan Mukshit and Nizam, were viciously attacked over a trivial dispute near a local bar at around 10:30 pm.

Those taken into custody include Sushanth, 29, a resident of Kanad, Surathkal; K V Alex, 27; Nitin, 26, also of Surathkal; and Arun Shetty, 56, who reportedly provided shelter to the accused.

The police have confirmed that two key suspects, Gururaj Achari and Ashok, who had also provided shelter alongside Arun Shetty, are still at large, and the search for them is ongoing.
