It was a strong week across Coweta County’s girls flag football programs as teams wrapped up non-region play and prepared for the start of area competition.
East Coweta (5-1) remained one of the county’s most consistent teams, extending its win streak to two with a 20-0 shutout of Chapel Hill on Oct. 23. The Lady Indians have outscored opponents 121-27 this season and sit atop Division 4, Area 3 behind a balanced offense and a defense that has posted three shutouts.
Northgate (6-2) also continued its hot streak, winning five straight and blanking three opponents this week — Pike County (6-0), Rutland (12-0) and Sandy Creek (28-0). The Lady Vikings have found their rhythm on both sides of the ball, totaling 109 points this season while allowing just 40.
