Lauryn Hill is coming to Hamilton and she’s bringing her education.

Hill has announced her “Artist in Residence” tour and she’s bound for FirstOntario Concert Hall on Nov. 30. Presale for the show starts Friday Oct. 24 at noon, and $2 from every ticket will be donated to the MLH Fund, which provides resources for local community outreach.

The tour will have Hill visiting eight Canadian cities as she prospectively hits the road. Hill has a checkered past with performing at scheduled shows, notoriously showing up late to multiple ones throughout her career and even cancelling on short notice.

Most notably Hill was recently sued by Pras Michel, a Fugees groupmate, over the cancellation of their reunion tour. That cancellation happened three days before their first show “due to unforeseen c
