A 32-year-old Flint has been charged with robbing a Fifth Third Bank branch in Troy on Tuesday. Bond was set at $50,000.
If convicted, Jacquan Coreyonteliace Burks-Burnett could face a lifetime prison sentence.
County Prosecutor Karen D. McDonald’s announcement said Burks-Burnett allegedly entered the Fifth Third Bank branch in Troy wearing a face mask, gloves, and yellow glasses and demanded money from two tellers.
Witnesses told police he walked to the Somerset mall parking lot and left a vehicle, which didn’t have a license plate. Police used Flock footage to identify the vehicle and track down the defendant.
A Troy police spokesman said that no weapon was seen and no one was injured. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.
