A woman was shot by men in ski masks at a home in Maine on Thursday, and police say they are now searching for three suspects.

Just before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, state police said they responded to an address on Bailey Road in Knox for a reported shooting. Troopers arrived on scene and determined the victim, 40-year-old Astin Elwell, had been shot and was driven to Waldo General Hospital in Belfast before they arrived.

Elwell was later transferred to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, and police said she is expected to survive.
