LCMC hospital leaders are warning patients under UnitedHealthcare that they soon could lose in-network coverage. The two parties have until Nov. 1 to agree on contract negotiations, or 36,000 LCMC patients could lose coverage.
The contract negotiations determine how much hospitals will be reimbursed by UHC and how much patients will pay. The ongoing contract disputes impact all eight hospitals. Advertisement
UHC officials say that LCMC is asking for a 40 percent hike, which is too costly for them.
