RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The accused teenage shooter in Raleigh’s Hedingham mass is moving to have testimony from one witness thrown out of court, saying it’s unreliable.
In a new filing this week, Austin Thompson’s team says the testimony of a neighbor, Angel Turner, shouldn’t be allowed in court because when she first spoke with a detective, she did not mention hearing gunshots. When she spoke to police a few days later, though, Turner mentioned hearing the gunshots. She also spoke to police about then 15-year-old Thompson’s behavior in the neighborhood and his father’s, Alan Thompson.
