WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wichita community members and organizations have organized grief support for those impacted by a deadly shooting that occurred during a youth football game Thursday night.

The shooting happened at Dr. Glen Dey Park in northeast Wichita during the youth football game. A 32-year-old died from multiple gunshot wounds .

A community gathering will take place on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Wichita Habitat for Humanity, 2220 N. Opportunity Drive. Organizers said the event will offer a safe “space for open discussion, connection, and collective healing.”

“We continue to face losses, and we want to ensure folks can speak and engage within the community,” organizers said in a release.
