Bhind, Oct 24: Police in Bhind district busted a clandestine country-made weapons factory operating from a rented farmhouse, uncovering an industrial-scale illegal arms racket.
The operation, run by a local gang, involved assembling pistols with the help of skilled gunsmiths hired from Uttar Pradesh at Rs 50,000 per month. Authorities seized 12 pistols, three live cartridges, and a large cache of weapon-making materials from the farmhouse in Rupawai. The gang had rented the farmhouse for Rs 20,000 per month, with strict production targets and salaries in place.
Bhind Superintendent of Police Dr. Asit Yadav described the operation as “not just petty crime, but a structured business.” The racket came to light after police arrested a man near Amalhari vill
