“You want to get the camaraderie going by playing cards, joking around and having some fun.”
There’s nothing like the road to bring the best out of Brad Jacobs and his Canadian curlers.
Getting together on the ice away from home seems to be the best elixir for the Calgary crew intent on parlaying its Brier success of last spring into Olympic glory over the next handful of months.
The proof is in the perfect record of skip Jacobs, third Marc Kennedy, second Brett Gallant, lead Ben Hebert and coach Paul Webster so far at the 2025 Pan Continental Curling Championships in Virginia, Minn.
“Yeah … Mark’s in Edmonton, Ben, Brett and Paul are all in Calgary, and I’m obviously out in Ontario,” said Jacobs, of the super-rink that’s representing Canada at the worlds qualifying event in Minnesota.
