OLYMPIA, Wash. — Interstate 5 southbound has reopened after a semi-truck crash completely blocked the roadway in Olympia.

The semi-truck was hauling two unloaded trailers and lost control while going around a curve on a wet roadway, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Kameron Watts.

The semi collided with a concrete barrier separating the north and southbound lanes of I-5 and became stuck on it. The truck was jack-knifed across all lanes at milepost 103.

A tow was dispatched to the crash scene and the semi-truck was removed at around noon. All lanes of I-5 south are back open.

Traffic was being detoured onto Second Avenue at exit 103 during the closure.
