The Sun Valley Community School Cutthroats girls soccer team got its offense going in a 5-1 victory over the Timberlake Tigers in an Idaho Class 4A state tournament consolation semifinal on Friday at Meridian High School.

“We got some good goals today,” said Cutthroats head coach Kelly Feldman. “It’s always nice to break the ice.”

Rylee Miller and Keeley Strine scored goals a minute apart to give the Cutthroats a 2-0 lead halfway through the first half. Strine scored her goal off a corner kick from Wells Dolson.

Anna Taylor and Brynley Gage added first half goals for SVCS.

Feldman felt the team had to adjust to the turf in Thursday’s 2-0 loss to Fruitland as it found its footing on Friday.
