PHOENIX — Freeway closures in the West Valley and north Phoenix could cause delays for drivers over the weekend.

In its Weekend Freeway Travel Advisory for Oct. 24-27, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) said parts of Interstate 17 and Interstate 10 will close on Friday and Saturday nights.

The department added that the closures are subject to change due to weather or other factors.

Weekend closures planned for I-17 in north Phoenix

ADOT said that portions of both directions of I-17 will close over the weekend due to a pavement sealing project. However, the closures will be on separate nights.

Southbound I-17 is scheduled to be closed between Jomax and Deer Valley roads overnight from 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday.
