3 Howls Remedy House in Vancouver’s Uptown Village will close Nov. 2.
The cocktail bar and gastropub, which opened in April 2024 , announced its closure Thursday on Facebook. It originally offered a vegan menu but pivoted to more mainstream fare several months ago, owner Brandon Rush said.
“Either these things connect with the community or they don’t,” Rush said. “I feel like it did connect with a quite a few people, but we just didn’t have the regular customer base that was required to keep the doors open.”
The bar showcased 3 Howls’ botanical spirits, distilled in Battle Ground. He said he liked the idea of pairing plant-based cuisine with herbaceous spirits. However, only 3 in 100 people are vegan, Rush said.
