CLINTON, Conn. (WFSB) - Officials confirmed the goats who have been seen roaming around Clinton were returned home on Friday.
According to Clinton Police, three goats were occasionally seen wandering near I-95 and Nod Road for several months.
Police said the goats were safely trapped and brought back to their home at a local goat farm.
“After the goats’ initial escape, it became clear that a simple capture attempt would not be effective. A coordinated plan was developed to feed the goats in a designated location at consistent times in order to acclimate them to the area. Trail cameras were used to monitor their behavior and overall health,” said Clinton Police.
Officers then set up a temporary corral at the feeding site in order to make the goats comfortable in the area.
