JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — The 2025 Sea & Sky Air Show will go on without its most anticipated performers.
The City of Jacksonville announced Friday afternoon, less than 24 hours before the weekend show, that the Blue Angels and the Viper Demo Team will no longer perform "due to the ongoing federal government shutdown."
The Blue Angels are a U.S. Navy squadron, while the Viper Demo Team is with the U.S. Air Force.
Rumors had swirled about the possibility of them backing out, as the government shutdown continues in its fourth week.
The city announced a new, civilian performer group in their stead: The Chuters, a veteran-owned and operated parachute team.
