HOUSTON – Flights are being delayed at Bush Intercontinental Airport on Friday afternoon.
According to the FAA website , the ground delay was issued at 4:30 p.m. and is due to issues with staffing and construction.
On Thursday, a ground stop was issued for nearly two hours due to staffing at Bush airport.
The FAA released this statement earlier this week to address the staffing issues:
“As Secretary Duffy has said, there have been increased staffing shortages across the system. When that happens, the FAA slows traffic into some airports to ensure safe operations.”
