MOORE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Moore County Sheriff's Office said they've arrested two men connected to fiber lines that were intentionally cut, causing a large outage and disruption to 911 earlier this month.
On Friday, Sheriff Ronnie Field announced they've arrested and charged Mitchell L. Campbell, 43, Mario T. Dockery, 44 and Charles J. Donnelly, 44. All three men are from Hoke County.
The men's arrest comes after an investigation that started when the sheriff's office was notified that some fiber optic lines for Charter Spectrum customers had been deliberately cut.
Spectrum customers across a large part of Moore County, including Pinehurst, Seven Lakes, and Carthage, were without internet and the ability to call 9-1-1 in some areas.
