VINTON, Va. (WDBJ) - Roanoke County Public Schools unveiled a new cafeteria and administrative wing at W.E. Cundiff Elementary in Vinton.

It’s part of a series of renovations the division is working on.

The new wing at Cundiff Elementary is part of a larger expansion and renovation of the school which is due to be complete in Fall 2026.

“The reason I do this is for our kids, for our future, and I want them to be opportunity ready. I want them to be ready for what lies ahead of them and this new space, this building is theirs. This is their learning space,” said Principal Ashley McCallum.

McCallum said the project has been in the works since 2019 and she’s excited with the progress.
