CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A church congregation in west Charlotte is hosting an application drive for this year’s Toys for Tots program.

Reverend Shon Hagwood, the pastor at First Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte, said his congregation will be hosting an application drive for the Toys for Tots program on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Families interested in being sponsored can visit the church on between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Oct. 28. Toys for Tots applications will be available at the church.

Hagwood said his church is working with the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity to sponsor 100 families for the program this year.
