EAST CORINTH, Vt. (WCAX) - The town of East Corinth played a starring role in both “Beetlejuice” movies, and now a push is underway to preserve a piece of that history.
For locals, the East Corinth General Store is probably the most popular spot in town.
Many scenes from the films starring Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton were filmed in town, and the old schoolhouse remains an attraction.
Roger Baker was in town Friday, visiting from California, specifically for the silver screen connection. “For the Beetlejuice stuff. Pretty big fan. It was a fun, cool movie,” he said.
“It is crazy to see it is still intact. Most places are either demolished or completely changed, but it’s still here, but it is amazing to see,” added Seth Baker, another fan of the films.
