Friday, UMPC Hamot decorated their waiting room with lots of pink.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Mammomarathon returned for its 19th year.

UMPC hosts this event annually to encourage women to get important health screenings.

The Mammomarathon is a one-day event held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, offering extended hours and walk-in appointments for women to screen for mammograms.

Nancy Elbi, a patient, said, "It's a very nice event. You meet other people, they do a very good job, and they make you feel comfortable, in a comfortable setting."

Alongside mammograms, there were also other activities for women to enjoy, such as raffles, refreshments and a gift for those who received mammograms.
