ASHEVILLE, N.C. —

A driver is facing charges after hitting eight vehicles in Asheville, North Carolina.

Around 4:24 p.m. Thursday, officers with the Asheville Police Department responded to a report of a driver striking multiple vehicles in the 3100 block of Sweeten Creek Road.

Just after 5 p.m., the suspect, 32-year-old Gary Alan Berdeski III was found and taken into custody. He was charged with the following:

Driving while impaired

Three counts of injury to personal property

Three counts of hit-and-run leave scene property damage

Fail to maintain lane control

Reckless driving

Driving while license revoked - impaired

Designated lane violation

Berdeski was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $17,000 secured bond.
