(WHTM) -- Pennsylvania's guidance for COVID-19 vaccine differs from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as the federal government changes its stance on vaccinations.

The CDC said the vaccine should be given on based on "individual-based decision-making." However, the state said almost everyone should get it.

Pennsylvania is going off guidance from medical groups such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

The difference has caused confusion and skepticism, especially after vaccine mandates at the beginning of the pandemic.
