BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Toledo Walleye fell to the Bloomington Bison 4-2 on the road Friday in the first game of a two-night doubleheader.

Bloomington scored the go-ahead goal late in the second period and added an empty-netter near the end of regulation to ice the victory.

Toledo’s Chad Hillebrand opened the scoring with a power-play goal assisted by Nick Andrews and Sam Craggs.

Bloomington answered with goals by Kyle Jackson and Brett Budgell to take a 2-1 lead, the latter coming on a penalty shot.

Nolan Moyle tied the game for the Walleye on the power play at the 15:05 mark in the second with his second goal of the young season. Tanner Dickinson and Brandon Hawkins provided the assists.

But the Bison reclaimed the lead less than three minutes later on an unassisted goal by Parker G
