AUGUSTA -- A Pittsfield man is facing multiple charges after crashing a recently stolen truck.
According to Maine State Police, on Friday, October 24, just after 4 p.m., a Major Crimes Central Detective was traveling on I-95 in Augusta when they attempted to pull over a 2008 Toyota Tundra, after observing the vehicle driving erratically.
The Toyota did not stop.
In the area of mile marker 119 northbound, the truck struck another vehicle, resulting in a crash involving four vehicles, including the Tundra.
A passenger and driver of two separate vehicles to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Tundra fled on foot but was quickly apprehended.
While at the scene of the crash, officers learned the Tundra was recently stolen in Augusta.
