AUGUSTA, Maine — Maine State Police are investigating a crash involving four vehicles, including a stolen truck, that happened Friday on Interstate 95 in Augusta.
The crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. near mile 119 northbound after a Major Crimes Central detective saw a 2008 Toyota Tundra driving erratically and attempted to pull it over, according to Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
The driver of the truck did not stop for the Trooper's lights and sirens, and later struck another vehicle, resulting in a four-vehicle crash, Moss said. The driver of the Tundra ran off, but responding Troopers quickly apprehended him. Authorities later learned the vehicle had recently been stolen in Augusta.
