Spotlite Magic and Costumes’ doors have been open for decades, helping customers find everything from spooky masks to Santa suits. Owner Sacheen Platten bought the store in 1998 and says their business doesn’t slow down after Halloween.
Platten shares the Halloween rush, year-round costumes, and how social media is changing what people buy.
“Saturday will be our busiest day of the year, even busier than Halloween itself,” Platten said. “That’s because the Halloween parties are on the Saturday night before Halloween. It will be super busy tomorrow, but the rest of the week and into next week will also be busy.”
