The Oklahoma House Democratic Caucus has voted to temporarily suspend Rep. Ajay Pittman (D-Oklahoma City) from House Democratic Caucus membership and activities, according to a release issued by the caucus on Friday.

In the release, Oklahoma House Democratic Leader Cyndi Munson (D-Oklahoma City) said the suspension vote comes as Pittman faces an investigation into alleged misconduct involving campaign funds.

"While we maintain that everyone is innocent until proven guilty, the allegations regarding Rep. Ajay Pittman are severe enough that action was warranted," Munson said.
