A mum whose blood in her stool was brushed off as haemorrhoids received a devastating stage four colon cancer diagnosis - despite doctors initially insisting she was "too young" for the disease.

Amber Kissell, 45, suffered from fatigue, bowel problems, and unexplained weight loss following the arrival of her second child.

Even after discovering blood in her stool, medics dismissed her concerns as a fissure or haemorrhoids - and repeatedly told her she was "too young" to develop colon cancer.

It wasn't until she began experiencing dizziness that Amber underwent a colonoscopy, which revealed colon cancer that had already spread to her liver and lymph nodes.
