The family of a hotel worker murdered by an "utterly callous" asylum seeker has said they now face a "life sentence" of their own.

Deng Chol Majek was believed to have entered the UK by small boat less than three months before his frenzied attack which claimed the life of Rhiannon Whyte.

He was seen dancing and laughing after stabbing the hotel worker 23 times on a railway station platform and was found guilty of murder. at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

Speaking outside court, one of Rhiannon Whyte's three sisters, Alex Whyte, described her sibling as someone with "a beautiful and bright future" who was smart, kind, funny, caring and hardworking.
