Keep the faith

In a season that began with minimal expectations, the Toronto Blue Jays have accomplished what few thought they could do: The Cardiac kids have made it to the World Series.

The Jays and Mariners provided an exciting Game 7 and George Springer’s three-run homer, the Springer Dinger, will be remembered as a signature moment in Jays’ history, no doubt drawing comparisons to Joe Carter’s famed homer in Game 6 of the 1993 World Series.

In all the euphoria, there is nevertheless a sense the incredible ride is over, and the Jays have little chance against the powerful Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers, blessed with the highest payroll in the game, have a starting pitching staff that ranks among the best in history. Their batting lineup is equally talented.
