FLINT, MI – The Latinx Technology & Community Center is set to receive a $2 million state investment to support the redevelopment of the Knoblock Hardware building into a mixed residential and commercial space.
The Knoblock Hardware building, located across the street from the center, has been vacant since its closure in 2024.
Announced by State Senator John Cherry and State Representative Cynthia Neeley in a news conference on Friday afternoon, the state investment will support the design, site preparation and pre-construction planning for the redevelopment.
LTCC Executive Director Asa Zuccaro thanked the center’s board for their vision and state lawmakers for including this project in the state budget.
