HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Rain forced the Hastings Public Library to reschedule their Halloween movie to Saturday, combining it with their Pumpkin Painting Palooza event.
Over 100 kids, parents and grandparents came to the Hastings Public Library to take part in painting pumpkins and watching Hotel Transylvania. The library had been planning the pumpkin painting for at least a month, but the movie night was originally scheduled for outside Friday.
“The movie night was actually separate, but we had to cancel last night due to the rain because we were going to do it outside. So the events just got combined yesterday,” said Alyssa Langholz, children’s programmer. “That, I think, helped with our impressive turnout today.”
