LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - This weekend marks the beginning of a special weekend for one Lincoln kindergartener whose wish of becoming a part of Nebraska athletics is coming true.
Jase Johnson, a kindergartener from Faith Lutheran School, has an intellectual disability, but with the help of a national nonprofit, he’s representing Nebraska’s scarlet and cream alongside a few athletes.
Jase is a part of a local nonprofit Vital Services, which nominated him to be apart of a national nonprofit Dream on 3 whose mission is making dreams come true for individuals with disabilities.
Not only did Jase get a special sendoff from his classmates and friends Friday afternoon, but also got an opportunity to ride in a limo throughout all his stops in Lincoln.
