Following the intensification of a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal, which has now developed into a depression, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of further strengthening into a cyclonic storm by October 27-28. If the storm forms, it may be named “Montha,” a name contributed by Thailand, which means “beautiful flowers.”
