Two members of Australia’s Women’s Cricket World Cup team were ‘touched inappropriately’ while in India for the tournament.

The incident occurred when the two Australian cricketers were walking to a café in Indore on Thursday, the morning after their victory over England.

Cricket Australia confirmed police were ‘handling the matter’ with the two players ‘approached’ by a motorcyclist, who has since been arrested.

Rajesh Dandotiya, additional deputy commissioner of police in Indore, said the individual followed the duo for ‘some distance’, making ‘lewd’ remarks.
