Friday, 129 early voting ballots were cast for the Nov. 4 general election, bringing the total to 542 out of 25,240 registered voters during the first week.
Early voting continues from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday Oct. 27 through Wednesday Oct. 29, and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday Oct 30 and Friday Oct 31 at the Brown County Elections Office.
This year’s election will 17 constitutional Amendments on the Ballot as well as an election for the City of Blanket and the Brookesmith Special Utility Board of Directors. Donald Krause, Roger Sikes, James Towery and Jimmy Doud are running for three open positions on the Brookesmith SUD board, while Blanket will vote on a 1 percent local sales and use tax increase to provide revenue for the City to be used for maintenance and repair of municipal street
