Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin is one of the top coaches in college football, and his name is once again coming up in coaching searches. This time it is for the Florida Gators and several other jobs that could come open but have not yet.

This is nothing new for Kiffin, this is his sixth season at Ole Miss, and he has been connected to jobs elsewhere seemingly every season. He appeared on the SEC Network prior to the Ole Miss game against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday and explained what he told his team about the rumors and what it says about them.

"Yeah, I just mentioned it to them yesterday," he said. "That's a product of having a program with a lot of players and coaches doing a really good job. I wouldn't even mention it because they've been through this every year, probably four years in a row, but we had so many new players.

"So I told them, "'Hey guys, this is what happens around here because we win games and people like the style that we play in.' So that is all a compliment to the players."

Kiffin has had an excellent tenure at Ole Miss, going 50-19 and leading them to five straight bowl games, including two in New Year's Six bowls. They have yet to make the College Football Playoff, something they have a shot to change this season. They are 6-1 overall and 3-1 in SEC play and still very much alive in the race to win the conference and earn an automatic bid to the playoffs.
