Lacklustre Middlesbrough had to settle for a draw at home to Wrexham as Hayden Hackney rescued a late point on a day that Rob Edwards showed his ruthless side.
In a first half as bad as anything Boro have produced all season, they trailed at the break to Josh Windass’ early goal. Clearly not happy, Edwards made four half-time changes that inspired some improvement, and, after plenty of probing, proved enough to grab an 81st minute equaliser, to earn a point on a poor day.
Having hinted at changes after a short turnaround from Wednesday’s win, Rob Edwards made three for this one. Aidan Morris, Sverre Nypan and Kaly Sene came into the starting line-up, with Alan Browne, David Strelec and Tommy Conway dropping to the bench.
