Rob Edwards admitted he considered making a change before half-time as he showed his ruthless side to help Middlesbrough rescue a point against Wrexham.
In a poor first half, Boro struggled to lay a glove on their visitors and had to wait until the 61st minute to get a shot on target. They’d fallen behind to a heavily-deflected Josh Windass goal in just the seventh minute.
Showing his ruthless side, Edwards helped inspire a better second half showing from Boro when he made four changes at the interval. As well as the personnel changes, Edwards changed tactics, moving back to a back three after continuing with the 4-2-3-1 system they’d used to beat Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday.
