ACCORD, N.Y. — Football is a lot more fun at Red Hook High this season.
The Raiders took their show on the road again on Friday, Oct. 24, and managed to spoil Rondout Valley’s homecoming with a hard-fought 13-6 Section 9 Class B victory.
Red Hook won its third straight to improve to 3-2 in Class B and 6-2 overall. This comes one season after the Raiders finished 1-8 in an injury-plagued season in which a lack of players had forced the school to forfeit a game to Roosevelt early in the year.
Things are a lot different for the Raiders this season, though. Sophomore quarterback Nate Clum has led a high-scoring offense that exceeded 37 points on four occasions.
