NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- More than 50 vehicles were towed in an overnight ghost car crackdown in Brooklyn, the Sheriff's Office announced on Friday.
Between midnight and 7 a.m. on Oct. 24, the Sheriff's Office removed 53 vehicles within various precincts in Brooklyn.

"These operations will help to keep our communities safe, promote pedestrian safety and remove dangerous vehicles from our communities," said Sheriff Anthony Miranda in a statement.
