LSI, Inc., a South Dakota company, has recalled over 2.2 million pounds of Korean barbecue pork jerky due to potential contamination with metal pieces. The jerky, sold at Costco and Sam’s Club stores nationwide, was voluntarily pulled after customers reported finding wiry metal in the product, according to the U.S. Agriculture Department. The metal is believed to have originated from a conveyor belt used during production. Fortunately, no injuries have been confirmed.
The recall affects 14.5-ounce and 16-ounce plastic pouches of "Golden Island fire-grilled pork jerky Korean barbecue recipe."
