Saskatchewan has recorded one new case of measles, and health officials say the patient required intensive care.
According to the latest data from the province , the case is the second ICU admission linked to measles this year. The patient is in the 55+ age group and had an unknown or unclear vaccination status, according to the province.
As of Oct. 22, there had been 96 confirmed measles cases in Saskatchewan since an outbreak began in mid-March.
Ten people have been hospitalized and two have required intensive care. No deaths have been reported due to measles this year, according to the province's data.
Most infections have been in children and teens, and nearly 90 per cent of all cases were in people who were unvaccinated.
