The dreams of a nation are resting on a pullout couch.

Addison Barger, the star of Game 1 of the World Series on Friday night who hit the first pinch-hit grand slam in fall classic history , slept on teammate Davis Schneider’s pullout couch the night before. And get this: He did it again Friday.

Barger’s family is in town, so he’s been couch-surfing the past few nights, Schneider told media after the Blue Jays’ resounding 11-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. He’s been at Schneider’s as of late.

“My girlfriend’s here, so he was like, ’Can I sleep in the bed with you guys?’” Schneider said after Game 1. “I was like, no, sleep on the couch … It was squeaking all night.”
